Thanksgiving Shots

For some reason I never put up any of the photos we took on Thanksgiving, so I am fixing that now...we tried to get a good shot of just us three girls, how many tries did it take to get a good one?

Take 1: None of us are paying attention at all, hehehe...

Take 2: apparently we still aren't aware of the camera...
Take 3: umm, Cort looks a bit confused...not to mention Abby's behind...try again...
Take 4: Now Bear is trying to look philosophical?...
Take 5: There we go, 'bout time girls! Thank goodness we have a digital camera, took us 5 tries! :)

Good shot of all of us, 'cept Beepa, she spent her Thanksgiving all the way in Washington state with her sistas! :)


And, while takin' one of the many, and I mean many, xmas photos, a joke slipped out (yah, it was me who slipped it, hehe) can you guess who it was about? I'm sure you can tell just by her face!

New Year's Funnies

*New Year's Day Prayer for One and All*

Dear Lord,

So far this year I've done well. I haven't gossiped, I haven't lost my temper, I haven't been greedy, grumpy, nasty, selfish, or overindulgent. I'm very thankful for that. But in a few minutes, Lord, I'm going to get out of bed, and from then on I'm probably going to need a lot more help.

*A New Year's Wish*

On New Year's Eve, Marilyn stood up in the local pub and said that it was time to get ready. At the stroke of midnight, she wanted every husband to be standing next to the one person who made his life worth living.

Well, it was kind of embarrassing. As the clock struck - the bartender was almost crushed to death.

I went a lil' crazy with the crackle-finish, but it was so much fun!

Snow Day Down South

Give us a bunch of snow, leaving us stuck indoors, and a silly Santa hat, and goofy pictures ensue...

... and it looks like 'The Grinch' moved into the house!


The pets weren't too impressed with us, but we had alot of laughing! hehehe



**Snow Graffiti**

Yup, that's my sister's car under there :) she still hadn't cleaned off the snow, so, she gets to see that in the morning. :-D

I, on the other hand cleared the snow off my car, and if I didn't know any better, I would say this picture was taken up in NH...someone told us that it hadn't snowed here in NC before Christmas in over 42 years! Oops, if this keeps up the locals are gonna run us outta town, we are already being held responsible for bringing the snow and chilly New England weather with us! :-)

Christmas Funny

Jose Cuervo Christmas Cookies:

1 cup of water
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup of sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup or brown sugar
4 large eggs
1 cup nuts
2 cups of dried fruit
1 bottle Jose Cuervo Tequila

Sample the Cuervo to check quality.
Take a large bowl, check the Cuervo again, to be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one Level Cup and drink.

Turn on the electric mixer...Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl.

Add one peastoon of sugar. Beat again. At this point it's best to Make sure the Cuervo is still OK, try another cup...just in case.

Turn off the mixerer thingy.

Break 2 leggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit.

Pick the frigging fruit off the floor...

Mix on the turner.

If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaters just pry it loose with a drewscriver.

Sample the Cuervo to check for tonsisticity.

Next, sift two cups of salt, or something. Who geeves a sheet. Check the Jose Cuervo. Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts.

Add one table.

Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find.

Gre ash the oven.

Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over.

Don't forget to beat off the turner.

Finally, throw the bowl through the window, finish the Cose Juervo and make sure to put the stove in the wishdasher.

Friday Fill-Ins 18

Today is Friday, which means another Friday Fill-Ins :)

1. Good times: include laughing 'til your face hurts.
2. Love it when holiday decorations fill my home.
3. Sleigh bells ring are you listenin'? In the lane snow is glistenin'...
4. This year there are some things I will miss a little.
5. Once more the holidays are upon us, Christmas is still my favorite.
6. Is it too much to ask to be happy in the end?
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to maybe a movie, tomorrow my plans include whatever comes to mind and Sunday, I want to watch the Pats!

The Tree

Here is the Christmas tree this year, in all it's glory. We actually picked it out and brought it home before Thanksgiving, eek. But it didn't make it into the house until a couple weeks later. And of course this picture was taken after the cats had gotten to the bottom half of it. Naughty kitties. Hope everyone has as much fun decorating theres as we did.

Here's to warm nights by the fire, hot cocoa, family being close, and listenin' to Christmas music as much as possible!! :)
