Rantings

Ok, I try not to be too negative on here. Or too negative in general, but lately that's becoming alot harder. With all the stress of all this stuff piling up on me, sometimes I feel like I am about to break. Holding my life together seems more and more difficult for me, and just when I can't handle anymore something else lands. Divorce is one of the hardest things I have ever had to go through besides the passing of family or a friend. It's a monster all of its own that I have to battle, be happy with, while I'm still angry at it, and mourn. The mix of emotions can be overwhelming. Grieving the loss of something I thought I would have forever is draining. Like I've said many times before, my family has been amazing. Putting myself back together hasn't been easy and I am not nearly finished, I know that. I also know for sure this is something I need to do, there is no turning back. I hope, sometime soon, I can look back on all this and think it was all worth it. I will end up where I need to be, it's just living through this until I get there that is the hard part. I have a new sense of sympathy for anyone that has gone through a divorce. It does grind and shape you until you are made stronger or crumble away, and I refuse to crumble.

Superbowl XLIV

Another Superbowl has come and gone. Since the Patriots weren't playing this year I, along with everyone else in the living room, was cheerin' on the Saints to win. And of course in between the hoopin' and hollerin' and scolding some of the players on tv...there is the Superbowl commercials! Which I have to say there weren't many good ones this year. But there were a few that got us laughing. This was my favorite...though we did like the "Doritos Dog Revenge" commercial too.

NC Snow Day

Well our 'big' snow storm hit us Friday night just as the weatherman predicted. We woke up Saturday mornin' to a scene right out of NH! Felt at home again, but lacked some of our usual snow tools...like a plow guy for the driveway clean up, or a snow blower, or even just an extra snow shovel. We had to improvise, we used our "Redneck Snow Blower" as you can see:(yes, that is a leaf blower, hehe.)

They braved the treacherous weather and trekked over to Beepa's.

Toby had a blast in the snow! Even though he kept sinkin' in it.

As you can see :)

Boston and Abby were able to romp around in their winter attire.

That's how much snow we got...I know I know, that's a 'dusting' up in NH...but like I've said before, this state is simply not equipped to handle it. Big lack of plow trucks. In fact, it's Sunday night now and they still haven't plowed our road! Looks like another snow day at home for everybody.

May be a pain to shovel, but snow seems to blanket over everything and make it pristine again!

Friday Fill-In 20

ffi

woohoo, I remembered two weeks in a row! Friday Fill-In time:

1. Wouldn't it be easy if we could just have heated driveways, no more shoveling snow!

2. Is hoping that this year is better than ever!

3. I love the taste of cinnamon.

4. Last night I heard someone snoring in the living room.

5. The first thing we're going to do is lug all sorts of firewood in, getting ready for the snow storm and when I say we...its me and the dogs are 'supervising'.

6. Hoping to quickly hear drip, drip, drip; cuz that means the snow will be melting.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to hunkering down and watching the snow start to fall, and hoping everyone gets here safely before it starts, tomorrow my plans include being stuck in the house, we will be getting plenty of snow if the weather guy is right and Sunday, I want to shovel my way out as much as possible, hehe, and maybe watch the Pro-bowl!

**Lil' sidenote: Can't believe I have been living in NC for two years now!? Wow time flies!

LIFE

I absolutely loved it when Discovery Channel first started to air the series Planet Earth. I patiently waited for Sunday night, every night, for weeks. I soaked up every bit of scenery I could and sat there in awe until I couldn't keep my eyes open. I inevitably fell asleep, because I had to get up early the next day. (Why they always air the new shows on Sunday nights, I will never know.) But not before I set up my faithful VCR to record what I would miss while I snoozed. And of course I got the DVDs as soon as I could get my grubby lil mitts on 'em. Now BBC Earth is coming out with another series and it looks just as good as what they aired in April 2006 with Planet Earth. Makes me giddy, silly I know, but right now, it's the little things that get me by, day by day. They will air LIFE in March and I can't wait.

4. Don't take responsibility now and pay later.

5. It's time to learn to love myself again.

6. Leap up in the air but careful what you land on, on you way back down.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to relaxin, tomorrow my plans include more rest, still trying to get better and Sunday, I want to maybe watch some football!

Funny

A Woman And Her Desires
The woman entered the room, and with a knowing smile teasing her full lips, she sank into the comfort of the plush chair in the corner. The handsome stranger turned, having sensed her approach. Locking his steely gray eyes on hers, he moved slowly toward her, his experienced gaze measuring her, hypnotizing her with his soft murmurs of assurance. He sank to his knees before her and without a word, smoothly released her from her constraining attire.

With a sigh of surrender, she allowed his foreign hands to unleash her bare flesh. He expertly guided his hands through this tender, often hidden territory, his movements deliberate, confident in his ability to satisfy her every need. Her senses swam.

She was overcome with an aching desire that had gone unfulfilled for so long. And, just as it seemed that ecstasy was within her grasp, he paused, and for one heart-stopping moment, she thought, "It's too big! - it will never fit!"

Then, with a sudden rush, it slid into place as if it had been made only for her! As pleasure and contentment washed over her, she met his steady gaze, tears of gratitude shining in her eyes. And he knew it wouldn't be long before she returned.

Oh, yes, this woman would want more. She would want to do it again and again and again. Don't cha just LOVE shopping for SHOES.

Thanksgiving Shots

For some reason I never put up any of the photos we took on Thanksgiving, so I am fixing that now...we tried to get a good shot of just us three girls, how many tries did it take to get a good one?

Take 1: None of us are paying attention at all, hehehe...
Take 2: apparently we still aren't aware of the camera...
Take 3: umm, Cort looks a bit confused...not to mention Abby's behind...try again...
Take 4: Now Bear is trying to look philosophical?...
Take 5: There we go, 'bout time girls! Thank goodness we have a digital camera, took us 5 tries! :)

Good shot of all of us, 'cept Beepa, she spent her Thanksgiving all the way in Washington state with her sistas! :)

And, while takin' one of the many, and I mean many, xmas photos, a joke slipped out (yah, it was me who slipped it, hehe) can you guess who it was about? I'm sure you can tell just by her face!

Love my family, they are the bestest!! :)

New Year's Funnies

*New Year's Day Prayer for One and All*

Dear Lord,

So far this year I've done well. I haven't gossiped, I haven't lost my temper, I haven't been greedy, grumpy, nasty, selfish, or overindulgent. I'm very thankful for that. But in a few minutes, Lord, I'm going to get out of bed, and from then on I'm probably going to need a lot more help.

Amen

On New Year's Eve, Marilyn stood up in the local pub and said that it was time to get ready. At the stroke of midnight, she wanted every husband to be standing next to the one person who made his life worth living.

Well, it was kind of embarrassing. As the clock struck - the bartender was almost crushed to death.

Snow Day Down South

Give us a bunch of snow, leaving us stuck indoors, and a silly Santa hat, and goofy pictures ensue...

... and it looks like 'The Grinch' moved into the house!

The pets weren't too impressed with us, but we had alot of laughing! hehehe

**Snow Graffiti**

Yup, that's my sister's car under there :) she still hadn't cleaned off the snow, so, she gets to see that in the morning. :-D

I, on the other hand cleared the snow off my car, and if I didn't know any better, I would say this picture was taken up in NH...someone told us that it hadn't snowed here in NC before Christmas in over 42 years! Oops, if this keeps up the locals are gonna run us outta town, we are already being held responsible for bringing the snow and chilly New England weather with us! :-)
