Painters "R" Us

This past fall my sister and I were utilized as painters by our Grandparents. We spent 6 or so days painting different rooms in their new home. I was able to get a hold of some random pics. Even with all the work, it was fun. ☺

(Don't mind my "fancy" painting attire, my old scrubs are great as paintin' clothes.)

Buh-bye icky mural!!
Uh oh...someone missed a hole ☺
We were SOOO glad to cover up that "pink".
I was caught makin' graffiti ☺

Gopher

While helping with the new deck remodeling I obtain many roles...novice carpenter, tractor operator, or I assume a position on the advisory board. Most of the time however I am designated as the "gopher", so called because one must "go-for" this or "go-for" that. I am not one to brag, but I have become very good at it over the years. Ready to jump when needed ☺

Painting The Loo

Check another project off the list! Spent this week painting the 1/2 bath.

Before:

Huge outdated mirror...
(pay no mind to the blue painters tape) lots of wood trim.... ...and green walls. though it had a new toilet, it just looked out of place. After:

Nice new mirror... ...no more wood trim......and beautiful gray walls... ...now the toilet looks at home ☺ Much better! All ready to welcome guests ☺

Can We Build It?

"Yes We Can!" ☺

Another weekend (well, more like day) of helping dismantle and put back together an even bigger deck! (for more pics click here) (Want to have it noted that Toby doesn't ride on the tractor. When it's in motion he safely trots behind it. ☺)

"A lil closer...closer..." And to think he trusted me to pull up the deck with the bucket...just a hair... When not in use...the dogs like to hold the tractor down ☺

Color Differences

Just recently I got the crazy idea in my head (though someone may of put it there) to paint my bedroom! I don't like painting at all...but I went and did it anyways. ☺
Before:

Lots of 'tan' trim and off-white walls.

And after:

Grey walls (though as the day goes by it seems to change colors in the light) and white trim!
...the lil' helpers...
Much improved ☺

More Painting

Well yet another project done. We got projects all over the place ☺ One major one was sanding down and painting all the outdoor furniture we have around the outdoor fire pit. Toby helped...mostly by staying out of the way...
(Before)

...I got all the furniture sanded down with help from the orbital sander, thank you Mr. Dewalt...my arm still aches from that thing! ☺
Then it was lots and lots of painting, got it done in two days, which is good, because the forecast calls for rain tomorrow.
(During)
(Beepa, the local painting pro.)
(After)

In all it was 9 pieces...its a light mint green color...they look so much better! Now we can veg. around the fire lookin' perty ☺

Us Girls Can Handle It

"It's cedar shakes, and I helped!" ☺
I helped put new roofing on the mini-covered bridge that our family has had for what seems like forever. Got our first chance to use the nail gun, loved it! Now we wanna find more projects so we can use it again!
Tada!
The kitties love it ☺

Another Project Done

Well, I've been trying to keep busy and keep my spirits up while I am home. Other then cookin' for everyone most nights. I spent a couple days repainting the house numbers that hang out near the street. Before they were both a hideous green with worn off gold accent color. Now they are painted to match each house's colors ☺

And there is my bench from my house. I had an awesome porch bench that came with me when I moved and it found a new home ☻ Soon I will be givin' it some tlc and then all the outdoor adirondack chairs are gonna get some fresh coats of paint. Which they desperately need. Getting alot done before that summer heat sets in...
