Superbowl XLVI

Another Superbowl has come and gone. Since the Pats were out of it this year, I wasn't that into it. Mostly watched for the commercials. Though the halftime show and power outage made it a lot more interesting! This was probably my favorite commercial :)

And this one, was just cute:

Here is hoping, I get to see the Patriots win the Superbowl in 2014! ;)

Optimism In Disappointment

We had a party for the Super Bowl, hosted by my Grandparents; since our home team (the New England Patriots) were playing!!

My contribution to the food intake...dip (nacho cheese, guacamole, salsa and sour cream). ☺ Yumm-o!
All of the goodies our super-duper hosts made...Yummy!!
Which was followed by Cort's Patriots cupcakes!!
Sisters and I, all ready for the big game...this was before the 3+ hours of intense stress and alot of yelling at the television. ☺
BIG CHEERS!!! ♥ and the outer portion of my layers of Patriots *good luck*
That's right, layers ☺ I was laughed at for wearing my Patriots: T-shirt, sweatshirt, pin, hat, Bruschi jersey, pj pants, blanket, scarf and water bottle (also had other family members wearing some of my stuff). Apparently I needed another layer, 'cuz they alllllllmost won!
Though the better team didn't win...I am trying my best to not be bitter. (Really difficult though!!) I have done a fairly good job at avoiding all the media bologna. Negativity is something in my vocabulary that I am doing my best to completely eliminate. Losing to the Giants again stung though...ok, it stung alot! But I am still proud of *my* Patriots. With what was rated as the worst defense in the entire NFL...the Patriots still made it to the Super Bowl!!! They still nearly won! They will get better, they will come back stronger. Look what they were able to accomplish with what they did have. It's nothing to scoff at and belittle, or point fingers as to whose fault it was, just because they lost one game. And we all know the media loves to hype up the hurts. So I am just steering clear of it. The New England Patriots will always be the only team for me.
I have been rooting on my Pats (win or lose) for over a decade now! Hard to believe that there was once a time when I wanted nothing to do with football.

Super Bowl XLVI

Tonight was another Super Bowl! Talk about an edge-of-your-seat kinda game! I think I am a little hoarse from my cheering, and eventual yelling at the television. Even though they lost, I still love my New England Patriots. ♥ (no band wagon jumper here) ☺
Tonight's game however has left me even more reason to despise the NY Giants (other then the fact that they are my evil ex-husbands team).
Best not to dwell...so...

On to favorite Super Bowl commercials....

Then something with some humor....

Can't forget the continuation for VW, which was pretty funny....and I thought the chevy commercial was pretty good too. ☺

Superbowl XLV

Well yet another Superbowl has whizzed on by. Since the Patriots weren't in it...I was rooting for the Green Bay Packers, was happy to see they won. I wasn't exuberantly rooting for either team, I was more interested in the commercials. The Superbowl is the ONLY time I look forward to those. Was kinda disappointed this year with 'em. But this was my favorite!

Hopin' the Pats make it to the Superbowl next year!!

Superbowl XLIV

Another Superbowl has come and gone. Since the Patriots weren't playing this year I, along with everyone else in the living room, was cheerin' on the Saints to win. And of course in between the hoopin' and hollerin' and scolding some of the players on tv...there is the Superbowl commercials! Which I have to say there weren't many good ones this year. But there were a few that got us laughing. This was my favorite...though we did like the "Doritos Dog Revenge" commercial too.

Superbowl XLIII

I meant to put this up awhile ago, I was just busy. But here it is now.
I, like some, only look forward to commercials when it is time for the Superbowl. Any other time, they are just breaks in between my show when I can do something else.
This year was no different, especially as I had no real interest in the two teams that were playing this year. I have to say I was rooting against the team that ultimately won. Oh well.
This commercial was one of my favorites:
