Myrtle Beach

Got the opportunity to visit a state I hadn't yet! I think I have now been to every state on the east coast with the exception of Georgia!
This time it was to sunny South Carolina, and Myrtle Beach!
The resort we stayed at, right on the beach:
It was B-e-a-u-tiful!! Perfect weather while we were there!
Had to watch where you walked on the beach, there were jellyfish periodically washed up:
One of our many strolls along the beach:

Suits were on everyday ☺

Morning walk along the beach! I could get used to waking up to that ☺
They actually got me onto the Skywheel...it's like a GIANT climate controlled Ferris wheel. At the peak you are 20 stories up! I am terrified of heights, I seriously wanted to jump off as soon as they closed the doors and we started to move...
I held on for dear life!
A view near the top:
We stayed 'til it was dark, it's lit up with over a million lights! All different colors, it was quite a show.
View from the balcony off our room, and the hot tub which we were in everyday! Chlorine totally ruined the bottom of my suit, and I didn't even go in the pool :-p
We collected ALOT of shells, and I got my mom her bag of beach sand ☺
Also went to a couple mini golf courses...we each got some hole in ones!
Couldn't skip the Aquarium!!
Horseshoe crabs...
...and their "undergarments"
A smidge of the coral reef, it was breathtaking, I don't watch fish, but I could of stood there all day....pictures don't do it justice.
Eel
And scratch one off my bucket list!! They had a "tunnel"!!! We had fish and sharks swimming directly over our heads!! LOVED IT!

live jellyfishes, they were teeny...and so pretty ♥
lots of rays...
you were able to go and pet 'em
We got Beepa into Hooters! It was her and I's first time ☺
Us with our waitress
View of the sunset, out on the balcony....
This was just a portion of the pics we took.

Thank you Aunt Donna, Katelyn, and Beepa, LOVED my mini-vacation!!

West Coast Visitor and Lots of Labor

Our cousin Charlotte came to visit from wayyy out on the western coast! Been way too long since we had seen her! ♥
She arrived on a crazy busy labor day weekend...she was put right to work...this was the "before" shot of Beepa's kitchen, before the flooring overhaul...
Everyone that helped heave and hoe and move everything after ripping up the floors...
Tada!! "after"...beau-ti-ful! ☺
and we weren't done yet....
While all that was going on, this big ol' piece of machinery was rented and put to good use!
...up, Up and away...
...hauling away what was cut down....
...Charlotte was a 'bucket assistant'...
...so was Kathy (I had enough sense to stay on the ground, me and heights don't get along well)....
...even got Charlotte drivin' the tractor. ☺

Before she left we were able to squeeze in a night by fire after a day of shoppin'! Finally some vaca time, on her vaca. ☺
Miss her already. ♥

Visitors

Our long awaited visitors finally made it down here to good ol' NC. Auntie Liz and the all boys came for the week and we had a blast! With all the going here and there's we managed to squeeze in another trip to Duke Gardens and the Museum of Life and Science (since the boys hadn't been).

(there's a dragonfly on that there flower)

Lots o' lily pads....

....giant ones too...

...I love them, think they are so pretty.

Jack and Kathy taking a break on the bench...it was a hottt day!

Dru...following the rest of 'em that zipped up ahead.

Another bridge...somehow I missed this one the three previous times I've been there?

Kathy and Beepa

They painted the white bridge red to go more with the oriental gardens surrounding it.

Can't get enough of that bamboo ☺

Traditional Japanese house....

....nakey feet please☺

The boys on yet another bridge.

Beepa taking full advantage of what little breeze we had while strolling into the pergola.

Step Gardens...

...peekin' in on the poison dart frogs again...

...love these lil' guys....and more butterflies...

While they visited we also painted gourdes...mine took a lil' longer but I finished! I painted one for myself this time...just needs a sealant and it's good to go....

...all three sides ☺
Had SO much fun! Can't wait 'til they visit again!
